When you contact us or attend a consultation we may collect your name, contact details, date of birth, GP and referrer details, insurance information, and the clinical information necessary to provide your care.

How we use it

To provide and administer your medical care
To correspond with your GP, referrer and other clinicians involved in your care
To process payment and liaise with your insurer where applicable
To meet our legal, regulatory and professional obligations

Lawful basis

We process your information on the basis that it is necessary for the provision of healthcare (Article 9(2)(h) UK GDPR), to meet our legal obligations, and in the legitimate interests of running the clinic.

Sharing your information

We share information only as necessary for your care — for example with your GP, referrer, hospitals where you are treated, and your insurer — and where we are required to by law. We do not sell your data.

Retention

We retain clinical records in line with professional guidance and legal requirements for the retention of private medical records.

Your rights

You have rights to access your information, to request correction, and, in certain circumstances, to restrict or object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@simheartclinic.co.uk. You may also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
